What is OSAID?
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID) is a youth-driven organization with chapter members in over 60% of High Schools in Ontario. OSAID focuses on eliminating impaired driving through practical and positive peer education. Their goal is to strive for the reduction and elimination of alcohol and other drug related injury and death, with the focus on impaired driving.
IBAO Involvement
IBAO sponsored several public service announcements (PSA’s) in support of OSAID. They were filmed, edited and produced by the CTV creative services team in Sault Ste. Marie; however they were impressively scripted by students from various communities in Northern Ontario.
The PSA’s were aired throughout April, May and June -- an important time to get this powerful message out to students, as many proms and graduations take place during these months.
