Definitions
Management: The content of the course includes subjects
related to the RIBO Act and Regulations, human resources,
general management, accounting, computerization, and generally
includes topics relevant to the operation of an insurance
brokerage.
Technical: The course imparts knowledge of insurance
products and/or technical insurance expertise.
Personal Skills: These courses impart the skills required
to function efficiently in an insurance brokerage office as
a customer service representative or as a producer. Subjects
covered include, but are not limited to, sales and marketing
skills, and communication and writing skills. (Courses in
the Personal Skills Category are not eligible for inclusion
as continuing education credit for principal brokers/designated
individuals or deputy designated individuals.)
