New Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager
When someone is promoted for the first time to the position of a Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager, they generally do not receive any training to help deal with the transition within this new role or how to manage former team members and friends.
This fast paced seminar is packed with very practical, easy to understand principles that will increase your skills, knowledge, confidence and performance.
Objectives:
- Review three principles new Team Leaders/Supervisors/Managers must learn and incorporate into their daily routines/processes
- Identify nine difficult things about managing people and develop an Action Plan to resolve
- Review “the things they did not tell you about your new role” and how to deal with them effectively
- Develop strategies to manage effectively: changes in performance standards/measures; friends; and company issues
- Identify 15 strategies to be an effective Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager and to develop an Action Plan to incorporate these strategies into one’s management style
- Get answers to “How do I handle…..?” questions
- Identify how to hire new people effectively
- Learn to manage effective performance, behaviour and attendance problems
- Develop strategies to build an effective team
