At the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario, we continuously consider the privacy of our members in all our business decisions. While the majority of membership information we collect is business information, we do occasionally collect personal information regarding our members.
Our membership records consist of our members’ names, brokerage business address, telephone numbers, email addresses and members’ RIBO numbers. Those members who register for our educational programs are asked for personal contact information in order for us to provide examination results to them in a confidential manner. The personal information that we collect is not shared with any third party, nor do we share any mailing or email lists with third party vendor companies.
The primary use of information collected is for our own communication purposes, keeping our members abreast of industry changes, Board and committee activities and our educational programs.
We do not disclose personal information collected to any third party individuals, organizations, businesses, associations, or corporations. We also do not sell or make public our membership lists.
